The analysis of tehcniques and aesthetic styles, paying special attencion to color and other visual narrative elements, is ides to argue that wedding films should be considered a new genre, as a new and unique way of filmmaikng.

Aesthetics of Digital Animation

The thesis deals with aesthetics of computer animation, its evolution and direction. It tries to identify the determining factors of the visual aspect of computer animation and uses examples to compare different approaches pursued by large studios and certain small productions. The work's goal is to explore the reasons behind the continuing uniformity of the genre, which persists despite the fact that computer animation has become technically practically limitless, and offer a prognosis of its future development.

The diploma thesis defines the therm "cliché" in art and specifically in
photography. This definition stems from examining concepts that are closely
related to cliché: paraphrase, kitch, copy, reproduction. The thesis also pinpoints
various examples of cliché in today's photography. It follows the development of
certain clichés and aims to answer the question that concerns the repetitive
search and imitation of certain images, even by authors who are undoubtedly
aware of their existence, as well as frequency.

The fujara and the shakuhachi

Ve své bakalářské práci srovnávám dva hudební nástroje, japonskou flétnu šakuhači a slovenskou fujaru. Oba nástroje hrají významnou roli pro stavbu identity jejich hráčů a jsou znakem mužského genderu. Toto je v práci prokázáno skrze rozbor jejich současných i historických sociálně kulturních kontextů.
Zatímco společenský kontext flétny šakuhači postupně vedl k vytvoření eroticko-sexuálních konotací, které se v běžné japonské vizuální i verbální komunikaci stali primárním významem slova "šakuhači", u fujary jsou tyto konotace pouze sekundární. Naopak fujara se jako endemický slovenský hudební nástroj stala důležitým symbolem slovenského národního diskurzu a uvědomění. Kdežto šakuhači není v současné době využívána jako proponent nacionalistických tendencí v japonské společnosti.
Práce sleduje různé estetické a kulturní mechanizmy, které, byť podobné, vedly k rozdílným významům obou nástrojů v jejich "domácích" společnostech.
